The objective is to assess equity in compensation and salary, particularly in the context of race and gender, by focusing on starting rates for initial appointment and the advanced starting salary procedure.
The Delaware State Senate passed SCR43 on May 13, 2021 by a vote of 21 to 0. We have assigned pluses to the nays because the Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Equity is not one of our founding principles. Equity is rooted in communism and is part of the Marxist agenda. The goal is to pit Americans of different races and religions against each other, a catalyst for more racism.
