The following scorecard lists several key votes in the Idaho Legislature in 2023 and ranks state representatives and senators based on their fidelity to (U.S.) constitutional and limited-government principles.

House of Representatives

1. Privacy & Gun Rights

Good Vote: Yes

H295 Privacy & Gun Rights (Passed 65 to 4 on 3/30/2023). Prohibits credit card companies from assigning a unique credit card code to firearms retailers that sell weapons and ammunition.

2. Sound Money

Good Vote: Yes
H180 Sound Money (Passed 40 to 29 on 3/2/2023). Authorizes the State of Idaho to hold gold and silver reserves.

3. Ranked Choice Voting Ban

Good Vote: Yes

H179 Ranked Choice Voting Ban (Passed 56 to 12 on 3/7/2023). Prohibits the use of ranked choice voting in Idaho.

4. Scrap Dealers Act

Good Vote: No

H142 Scrap Dealers Act (Passed 63 to 6 on 3/20/2023). Adds catalytic converters to the list for documentation under the Idaho Scrap Dealers Act.

5. Coronavirus Stop Act

Good Vote: Yes
S1130 Coronavirus Stop Act (Passed 43 to 27 on 3/30/2023). Prohibits certain actions related to coronavirus, including vaccine mandates.

6. Childcare Grant

Good Vote: No
S1203 Childcare Grant (Passed 43 to 27 on 3/28/2023). Provides $28,025,000 one-time for childcare grants. Additionally, this bill also includes a reduction of $14,394,000 to the Department of Health and Welfare in the Division of Welfare.
