HB5549 Provides that the African-American HIV/AIDS Response Fund should provide resources for creating and maintaining at least one Black-led Center of Excellence HIV Biomedical Resource Hub for every $3,000,000 of available funding to improve Black health and eliminate Black HIV-related health disparities.
The Illinois State House of Representatives passed HB5549 on March 4, 2022 by a vote of 105 to 0. We have assigned pluses to the nays because this legislation was created in the name of equity, propping up another race over another. The left has been promoting woke radical Marxist ideas for years regarding race and sexual orientation. The government and taxpayer dollars should not be embracing these ideas.
