The following scorecard lists several key votes in the Virginia Legislature in 2024 and ranks state representatives and senators based on their fidelity to (U.S.) constitutional and limited-government principles.

House of Delegates

1. Ranked-choice Voting

Good Vote: No

SB428 Ranked-choice Voting (Passed 54 to 44 on 3/6/2024). Expands ranked-choice voting (RCV) to elections for any local or constitutional office, beyond just county boards and city councils.

2. Market Interference

Good Vote: No

HB1301 Market Interference (Passed 88 to 8 on 3/4/2024). Amends the Virginia Post-Disaster Anti-Price Gouging Act to broaden the definition of "consumer transaction" to include business-related goods and services.

3. Speed-monitoring Devices

Good Vote: No

SB336 Speed-monitoring Devices (Passed 73 to 26 on 2/28/2024). Allows state and local law enforcement to install photo speed-monitoring devices at high-risk intersection.

4. Right to Contraception

Good Vote: No

HB609 Right to Contraception (Passed 55 to 44 on 2/28/2024). Establishes the "right" to access contraception, including contraceptive drugs, devices, and sterilization procedures.

5. Illegal Aliens as Law Enforcement

Good Vote: No

SB69 Illegal Aliens as Law Enforcement (Passed 53 to 47 on 2/28/2024). Expands eligibility for law-enforcement positions to individuals with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status.

6. Tax Increase and Education

Good Vote: No

SB14 Tax Increase and Education (Passed 68 to 28 on 2/26/2024). Allows any county or city to impose an additional local sales tax of up to 1% to fund school construction or renovation.
